Are you the guy that buys the $100 barefoot shoes where the makers recently settled a lawsuit for false advertisement of improving foot health, or is this someone else?

I've owned Vibrams...yes

what is your point?

I bought them because of the simplicity of them, not because of some improving foot health claim.

Vibram, the company behind FiveFingers shoes, just settled a $3.75 million class action lawsuit over false claims that its running shoe yields health benefits, Runner's World reports. The thin-soled, flexible shoes, which cost about $100 a pair, are said to mimic the experience of running in bare feet, and thus "improve foot health" -- an unsupported claim the company falsely advertised.

I think the fact that some of you get so worked up over this topic proves of some underlying insecurity with your dependence on modern technology

My feet hurt every time I run bare footed, is this a desired outcome for someone?

obviously you need simple barefoot shoes. What is more simple than a completely redesigned shoe that has sleeves for each toe.

My point is that they are a good example of what has been discussed in here. Not necessarily a personal attack, but what one may see as silly or expensive/overpriced, another may find very resourceful.

Vibram's, Yeti, 4 Wheel drive, SBEII, Black Cloud, Patternmaster, Powerpole, the list goes on

That is very possible, but the fact that grown men care what other grown men buy is also pretty laughable.
