Does anyone have any information if they took the Bayou Bucks website down permanently?

Seems that it has been dwindling for some time now which is why I originally went looking for another outdoor forum and found TD.

**I read through the rules and I didn't see anything prohibiting from asking about another site... hope this thread is OK.

I used to post there more a few years ago but only checked it out a few times a month recently. It wouldn’t surprise me if it went away because of the slow traffic.

Didn't post there but went through public land forums there to get info about WMA/NWR's when I first decided to get into hunting a few years ago...although almost all the posts were months or years old because so few posts.

No, you’re thinking of Bill Busbice from Wildgame Nation.

I hope so. That site was getting rediculous w/ the lovers quarels and dummies arguing about hunting spots. I've seen guys get into it at WMA camp sites because of BB over shite like "why'd you make that comment about my bow kill". the majority of folks in there should stick to FB

When it first started it was great. There were only a few member and a lot of us became good friends. Of course over time it started to get too big and a lot of the old members just kinda backed away from it altogether because of the drama.

I have been running the Bruiser Bowl EHL hunting contest on the site the last 2 years. JLeMieux was the only person that would help me with admin stuff on the site. He was unsuccessful trying to make me the moderator of that forum so I had to wing it.

We had 42 players 2 years ago and we had 49 players this last year. The contest was really the main thing keeping me on the site. I guess they finally pulled the plug.

It's really a shame that our state can't maintain a Louisiana based message board that is solely focused on deer hunting. I guess the FB groups have taken over that niche.

I’ve heard that about FB groups but just don’t understand why. All the hunting FB groups, the content is cluttered and everything gets political. On BB it was easy to search around the different forums. Deer hunting, WMA, fishing, squirrel hunting, and general outdoor stuff led to easy to find conversations. I loved that board during the hunting season but would still read during offseason. As I said earlier, I always bought the magazines and thought they were great. Not sure how anyone would prefer FB hunting group over the BB forum of old. They also did good on keeping spam out unlike La Sportsmen forum.

They’d show up with 730297 people and run the woods dry like a French whore. Thought they were some hot shots until they woke up one morning and their 4 wheelers were winched up trees.

Haven’t seen them since
