There are several on here thats won tagged and inshore. I dont know anyone thats won offshore divisions but I think Mark Makers has been on a boat that pulled in a winning fish.

I got 3rd place for Dorado division a few years ago in Texas
Got a plaque, a hat and a $100 gift card to academy.
Of course, 1st place which was 3 lbs ahead of me won a 4 seater Polaris and a trailer

Ive won a couple divisions over the years, but none of them have been an offshore division.
Here’s a picture showing one of last year’s offshore tackle packages.

No one should be supporting this bunch of CCA crooks. No way I would enter or accept a prize. They have not been for the common public fisherman in many years.

"CCA Louisiana is recommending the Louisiana Legislature create a special task force to address the complex and contentious waterway access issue." We do not need a special task force or follow the sea grant proposal. How about we follow the lead of EVERY other state. In my opinion (and many others) this was nothing but a stall tactic to appease some land owners of the state.

Damn, I just looked up their prizes. Everything really is bigger in Texas.
Categories that win a $1500 Academy gift card in LA are winning boats in TX (Sheephead). Cobia wins $5000 tackle package in LA, and in TX wins a $10k side by side plus trailer. Youth division in TX giving out $25k-50k scholarships. They even get a damn boat for biggest sail cat.

I won biggest trout and so did my wife in SW LA division. However her victory was revoked and I’m now forbidden from entering tournaments all along the coast.
Who would have thought corn meal would get folks so up in arms?

It is not a legislative committee per se, it is an independent task force. You have a better idea than "Give me access regardless of anyone else's interests?"

I am simply asking a questions as to whether you've read the actual sea grant link. If so, what is unreasonable about it, other than it is a government "committee"?(which it is really isn't).
