I’m considering buying one in 6.5 creedmoor because most reviews say they’re good value for what they are. Just wanted to get some more feedback before making the decision.

Check out a guy named Hickok something on YouTube. He does a review of one. Good for the price point for sure.

Shot a doe and pig with mine (.243) this morning. I’ve used it on deer, pigs, javelina and coyotes. I really like it. I used a trigger scale to check the pull weight and it’s right at 4 lbs.

Have a Predator in .308. I really like the gun. Pretty danged accurate but the stock sucks. I put mine in a Magpul American Hunter. Feels much better now.

Low priced, cheap feeling rifle that will stack them in the same hole at a 100yds. Get a trigger job and your good to go.

This summer I bought my son the Ruger American compact version in 7mm08. I usually hunt with a break barrel .444 so I fell in love with the 7mm08 when I shot it. I love how small and lightweight it is while still having plenty of power. I killed this 6pt, 208lbs a couple weeks ago up near Macon, MS. He ran about 40yds. My son will have to ask nicely to borrow his gun from me in the future.

Affordable, accurate, and effective. You won’t ever pull it out to show your buddy but it you scratched it up some you also would not cry.

My son used the 6.5 this morning. Laid a doe down. Also have 308. Both are great shooters. Like others have said, stock not the greatest. I would buy again.

Check the stock at the forearm. I bought my daughter one in .308 and it is warped and touching the barrel. I contacted ruger and they are going to replace it, but it’s gonna be awhile bc of supply issues. A quick search after shows this is a common issue.

I’ve owned two, both were extremely accurate rifles by production or custom standards. Like .3 accurate with factory ammo. Both of mine are Predator models (green stocks, threaded barrels). Can upgrade both stock (Magpul) and trigger (Timney) and be under $1k if you’re a fit & finish guy like me.

I'd take the stock off and reassemble with a good torque driver, sometimes that is all it takes. Can also do some sanding for clearance too. I bedded mine into a Boyd laminate stock which is pretty easy to do as well.

Yea so I’ve heard...I’m probably going to get a custom Boyd’s stock if I get one.

Yep sand the forearm to get the necessary clearance. You can also strengthen the forearm as well, which greatly improved the guns overall accuracy. I used an old GoldTip 30X target arrow I had robin hooded and thrown in in the closet. Just cut a channel in the forearm and epoxy the arrow, or whatever you use, in place. It added a little weight, but nothing terrible.

I bought this rifle because I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a rainy day rifle. It shoots above its price point and is one I’d recommend to anyone in that price range.
