Going to give it another shot this year. Scouted the area today and Barry really did a number on areas of the marsh down Grand Calliou.

The area out of falgout got hit hard. 6-8' surge there caused random marsh and camp debris every where.

I wish I could find the facebook video of all the dead bass and carp across the lake.

Yeah I heard we had a pretty bad kill around our lease. Marsh above Jug lake got hammered.

The houseboat came off the spuds and the lilies are packed behind camp. Didn’t go look around the L Canal, but I’m sure it’s the same as area around jug. Redfish should be plentiful if the water quality is good. Just sucks, the sacalait had just really rebounded the last couple years from Gustav.

Meh dats some dead bunnies in there too. I’ll bet dat smells nice.

For such a nothing weather event, that’s a pretty good lick.

With the barrier islands all but gone can you imagine the destruction if the area takes a direct hit from a 2,3,4 or 5 hurricane?

They need to start dumping rock ASAP or there won’t be anything left to last island in 2/3yrs. The damage from this past storm was incredible.

if you are fishing this weekend, IFA posted this earlier this afternoon.

Anglers fishing the IFA Houma Event, the captains meeting is at the Falgout Marina at the IFA trailer; NOT the Marriott Hotel.

Just like the rock that they put around Wine Island?

Had a 6.5 and a 6.2 but that’s not going to win anything in this tournament. Still had lots of fun. Congrats to your buddy. There are some serious guides and pros who fish this tournament. 106 boats total.

TX Wading Fool

See if your buddy will tell you the general area where they caught their fish. We were down Grand Calliou in the Little Lewis Bayou area.
