Anyone familiar with Broken Bow, Oklahoma?

Good afternoon ladies and gents, I just booked a vacation in Broken Bow, Ok in late July with the family and was hoping to get some insider tips, info, etc on Broken Bow Lake activities and things to do around there.
Any locals on these boards or peeps who have vacationed there in the past want to provide any knowledge, feel free to drop them in this thread!
The only thing we've done so far besides booking our cabin, is we booked a pontoon boat rental for a full day on Broken Bow Lake. So I'd love to hear any cool stories of great places to drop anchor and swim, fish, etc that maybe are off the beaten path.
Other than that, we are wide open planning wise for the rest of our weeklong stay and just curious if anyone has some solid recommendations.

Yea, we rented a big 2 bedroom cabin for 5 nights for about the same price you'd pay for a tiny condo on the beach for like a 3 days.

I rented an RV and stayed in a campground last summer. The tail waters are stocked with trout year round. Go down into the canoe and kayak rental area, take a dip in some ice cold water, and catch some fish.
You can rent kayaks and SUPs. Its worth paddling around a bit and checking out the scenery.
Theres a little brewery and pizza joint in "downtown". Probably the only one.
Stop by the giant souvenir store (cant remember the name of it either but there seemed to be only one).

Grateful Head Pizza
Live in sallisaw, wife works with a guy that goes 3 or 4 times a year. He goes for the fishing. She will get recs from him and I will update. All she could remember was the pizza place, that there is a brewery there and she thinks there is a winery too. Her co-worker usually books a guide.

Like everyone said-the pizza place is good. Trout fishing is good in the tail waters. Get a guide. Rentals are inexpensive. I had no experience on the lake.

Yep, it's good. Just have some good wading boots if you are going to wade fish. Those flat rocks on the bottom in some spots are slicker than owl shite.

I don't live too far from there and go there quit a bit. Grateful Head (the pizza place) is good but not worth the wait if you don't get there at a decent time. Beavers Bend brewery is ok and the new brewery (Mountain Fork) just to the north us a good time as well. In that same strip mall is the distillery and an escape room.
Go on a kayak trip on the Mountain Fork River. Believe it or not, there are several chutes that are challenging and fun.
The golf course is ok there and cheap if you golf. If you ride UTVs/ATVs, there a few trails around there. The trout fishing is solid especially if you fly fish. If you don't, use an ultralight with salmon eggs or use a 1/16 oz Rooster Tail.
Women like Girls Gone Wine but that wine is sweet and not worth it to me. Also the distillery to the north by Mountain Fork Brewery is good. Sorry I am pretty stoned and drunk.
And of course, there is a Choctaw casino in Broken Bow. Have fun. The cabins are generally very nice.

Seriously though, a kayak ride that goes through the rock garden an ends up by a water fall drop thing and a rope swing is awesome. We do it every time we go.
Also the lake where you are renting the pontoon is a beautiful lake. Good clear water.
The beat place to trout fish with ultralight and Rooster Tails is right around the Fly Shop. Go below the bridge that's around Fly Shop just below that small road bridge there's a deeper pool transition where you can catch a limit in 30 minutes in the late afternoon/evening.

Wife and I went there for our honeymoon (second marriage for both of us).
Cabins are nice, plenty of things to do in the area. Thinking of going back soon.

I just looked and the kayak people we have usually used is River Rats but they all do the same thing.
And if you go to Beavers Bend Btewery, one of the things that most people like is their Howlapeno Ale mixed with their Peach wheat beer. I know my wife likes it and it popular there. I just like their APA.

My dad is from Broken Bow, my Grandpa is buried there. Always thought it a nice retreat up on the lake.

They release fish in the river every other Thursday.
If you are there on the right day they say its real easy to catch a few trout.
None of the food was bad, but the bbq place was about the best. But like everywhere else right now they dont have enough wait staff. Lunch was easier to go out then supper.
Go on a canoe trip, ride the train to see the deer, search the all trail app for a place to hike.

We canoed a few years back and where we put in was a dry county so the canoe folks would take your beer cooler and set it at the county line on a sandbar and sit with it and once you crossed that line you could drink

Broken Bow is God’s country.
Be careful noodling, probably not worth it. Grab a fly rod and fish the Lower Mountain Fork.
