I got skunked the first time in several years. Of course, that's what happens when you have twins a month before deer season and never step foot in the stand. My Pops got two, so I'll have some meat for a little while.

Yup. Hunted my arse off on the bases around here. Got access to some private land for next season.

7 years ago, I started having kids and have been hunting 2-3 times during this period of my life. I am hoping one of my three will get my love of nature, and we can go at it. So far, my oldest could care less.

I didn't kill a deer this year. I did finally hunt the whole year with a recurve, though, so I knew it was a very good possibility.

If by getting skunked you mean not shooting a trophy, then yes I got skunked. But I ended up putting 4 deer (2 management bucks and 2 doe) in the freezer and more importantly spent many hours hunting, teaching and hanging out camp with my 12 year old son. So no, I didn't get skunked

It feels like it because I've been skunked at my own land in MS, so far. I found some decent buck sign in a corner that I hadn't hunted in a few years and there are still a couple weeks left.
I did get 2 bucks on opening day at the club in Arkansas. That feels like a long time ago now.
