I scored a doe on this past Sunday. Only deer this year.

I have been so far. The season here in Lower Alabama closes in 9 days so there's still time. Two years ago I shot my only deer that year 30 minutes before dark on the last day of the season so I'm still hoping to get at least a doe. My cameras tell me there are deer out there, I just don't see them during the day. Of course, I haven't hunted as much as I would like either. I'm sure, like last year, the weather has something to do with it. It's been a mild winter.

Cant eat the horns there buddy, at my camp we get two does a family member a piece, so between me and my wife we get four, i usually let her smoke down her two, i shoot one, and i hunt for bucks the rest of the season.. When bow season comes around in february if i dont see any bucks and it is almost the last day i stick another doe....As for as bucks go it has been depressing the last few years...I just been having to lay it to the slick heads

My 2 year old little girl loves to get in the stand, and let me tell you it is awesome when deer come out and she gets so excited, granted she waves and says "hey deer" and so on but it still is a good sign for me and my upcoming years even though i wont be the one shooting. She will be getting a rifle for Christmas this year just not sure what i should get her, possibly a .22 hornet

We shot two deer with her this year, them deer arent affected by that in a box stand at 100+ yards away

That's weird. Every time I wave and say hello to the deer I'm hunting they haul arse.

Massive acorn crop and mild winter means more browse. Deer didn't have to travel much.

made 7 hunts
saw 6 does and 2 spikes
should have pulled the trigger on one of the does but the wife wanted her first horns

Yeah, I only saw does during the week, and saw no bucks worth shooting.
