Hasn't happened in a while. Hopefully I'm not the only one. Made 10 hunts and saw a total of two small bucks.

Looks like I will be checking the sale paper for cheap meat to fill my freezer this year.

Yep. 3rd straight year. Could have shot does, but I'm really trying to get a deer on the wall

Yep, but I also made a grand total of zero deer hunts this year, hope for much of the same next year.

Me too. I also watched a bunch of young bucks, but the only deer worth shooting never gave me a shot.

I did have a few hunts that were incredible, so that makes it kind of okay.

It was not a good year for our entire lease.

The last weekend I hunted, I shot a doe just to get some ground meat.

Let a small buck walk early in the season. Never saw jack shite after that. Made about 10 hunts total.

To the guys getting skunked...do y'all put in much time in the off season putting out salt/minerals, corn, protein, rice bran, etc??

We don't kill many over corn, but I like to put bran out several times a year and keep a feeder throwing once a day just to keep deer on my place year round.

Last year I got skunked. Let way to many good 3.5 year old bucks walk only to see them blasted by others. This year I dropped one on my first and 3rd sit of the year. Then I had to remodel through November and December.

Haven't killed shite in 2 years. This is after averaging about 6 deer/year for the previous 25 years. I now have a kid in the stand just about every hunt. My rare kidless hunts I just can't seem to pull the trigger. I getting old and soft I reckon. But I aint mad. As long as they are bringing in meat..

One of my worst years, and only got 2 bucks, and only one in state. Did let a nice 8 get away with my bow, but didn't really see any nice ones where I usually hunt. Did have a good out of state hunt in Canada and got a 225" 23 point. Bruiser that was pretty much my year

Or it could be people looking for big bucks only? I probably watched at least 50-60 deer this year. Just nothing i wanted to pull the trigger on.

strange year for me.... spent the majority of it hunting a couple of giants on a farm i've got. Saw the bigger one twice without getting a shot... never saw the smaller of the two but did get camera pics of him about 30 min before I got there one morning. Dropped a doe on my birthday just to make sure we had a little meet. All told I had several good hunts, just never sealed the deal on ol big.
