...shitshow today?

Cutting up guns from the local sheriffs office.

Pissed a ton of people off.

And since the internet is a wonderful place. Someome dug and found out they donated a bunch of money to the democratic party during the last election.

Benchmade’s ‘special equipment’:

They join Yeti, Dicks, and CTD as companies that I won’t buy from again

The donating to the Democrat party thing pisses me off more than the cutting of already death sentenced guns. It's a government job for them so I assume they were overpaid. Hard for the capitalist in me to fault them for that.

It's crazy that law enforcement there has the option to auction those guns off to licensed dealers but opt instead to pay someone to destroy them. Such a waste.

I think this is pissed most people off. No reason to destroy those guns.

Jim Fullers comment was the best though.

I also question why the police went to their business instead of just shipping them out like they had the boxes for.

Just not a good day for benchmade.

Can’t help but notice that Benchmade didn’t proudly post this on their FB page first.

They didn’t want people finding out about this.

Actions speak louder than words Benchmade. Get your act together. Just say no to gun violence (violence against innocent guns).

I'm honestly shocked. 2A is under assault in Oregon and they need to understand what's at stake.

They want to help the blue, whatever but they are stupid for letting it be known right now.

I saw it. Benchmade is damned if they do, damned if they don't. I don't understand why they didn't simply say "no thank you" to the request made of them. Like others have said, it was the PD's FB page that called attention to their involvement. I see companies like Magpul and Weatherby leaving states that are anti 2A and understand that years of institutional knowledge and craftsmen may not relocate with them. All that being said, I don't like ANY outdoor company being a party to the destruction of firearms and won't be giving them anymore of my business. I like ZT better, anyway.

Their owner is a huge Dem donor that has donated thousands to anti gun politicians.

Will never buy any of their crap

Is this the safe space for me to be upset by all of the companies that donate money how they see fit even if it against what I believe?

I used my Benchmade knife to cut open my Yeti soft cooler, now I feel conflicted

Seriously though, any of y’all that want to trash your mini grips or some of those fixed blade skinning knives, I will gladly take them off your hands

One of these is not like the others. Two of them caved to the liberal left. The other just told the NRA they'd have to pay the same thing every other company paid to use their coolers. Having said that I will now say this. You'll be hard pressed to find anyone thats any more a fan of the 2nd Amendment than I am. I'm a big enough fan and believer in it that I absolutely despise the NRA. They're a fan of the funds they raise. No matter what they have to do to get it. They've bargained away enough gun rights for me to never send them a dime
