Maybe But I did it correctly for a decade with no issues. Went to stack on site to double check I was turning it right and had my wife do it as well. Tried turning it a few different ways in case I was just doing it wrong without thinking to no avail.

But tomorrow morning between 8-10:00 am I'm going to find out if something is wrong with the lock or if I became dumb overnight.

Push against the door as you try to open it.

I have a browning gold with manual dial combo, it worked fine new but was just a little finicky, but after a few years it would not open no matter how exact I put in the combo, called browning and they diagnosed it as a sticky combination, basically the combination that came with it was one number off, they offered to send me a spread sheet with all the possible combos or send a locksmith out with the same , but the solution was to keep trying till I found the right one, I did it myself with the spreadsheet and it took a while of standing there putting in one combo after another , but sure enough the middle number was one off, had not had an issue since

I am glad it didn't happen the day before a hunting trip.

Try the morning of the opening day of dove season.

An angle grinder will get you into a safe FYI.

Change the battery. Google your brand and model if you don’t have the manual. Worked for me!

Mine was a mechanical dial, so no battery option

Had a locksmith come over and he had to drill a small hole so he could put a camera in and get the code.

Turns out the safe paperwork I had saved with my code was for some other safe. I have never had another safe, much less a mechanical dial gun safe. Only thing I can think of is Lock On just had the wrong code written in my manual.

Either way, I'm in now, just had to pay $250
