Have a 2019 TRD Pro and it’s a champ.

For me, navigating tight Ozark switchbacks and narrow trails is the focus, so a larger truck would stand no chance. I throw a bed extender on for moving canoes, lumber, etc.

We were in Colorado for first season rifle elk. At our turnoff, there was only a set of ATV tracks on the fresh snow. We chained up and drove up the mountain, stopping at 9,500 feet. There was about a foot of snow. The Tacoma hauled me and my son, plus our tent camp. Two afternoons later, son killed a 4x4 bull. Taco hauled all back down the mountain. We only saw one other truck make it as far as we did.

Had a 2002 4x4 .

Can’t recall how many miles it had when I got it. I bought it off a buddy in 2012 for $5,000 lol.
Sweet heart deal.

I kept it around until 2021. Sold it for 7k to some Hispanics.

It had 296k

Never had an issue. All I had to change out in that time was a u-joint and the master cylinder on the brakes , if I recall.
Wish I still had it.

My buddy has a crew cab 2003 or so with almost 300k on it. He has had to replace the hubs and such but has been a solid truck. He is an attorney and could definitely afford something else but he refuses to get rid of it.

Had one from 2017-2019. Loved most everything about it. Except too small for my liking.
I’m a fan of them.

Had one, loved it. But after having a couple kids, it didn't work for me any more so I bumped up to a Tundra.

I got one as a loaner earlier this year and was pretty excited about it, because I have been considering downsizing in the near future... but was wildly unimpressed with the power after being in a bigger truck for so long now.

But that being said, Tacoma was awesome, I loved it, hated to let it go, but agree capacity is the main issue. Short bed is pretty useless for most stuff, but I bought a trailer to handle that.

I have a 1999 Tacoma,we have it as a spare vehicle, but it is a great little truck.I wouldn't want to take it on a long out of state trip, packed down with gear, just because of its limited storage space. But for a knock around town and to and from hunting camp vehicle,it is great!

Had an 04 crew cab v6, i put 250k on it than gave ot to my son in 2014, he put 60k on it and sold it for crazy money. Toyo put a new frame on it in 08 or so. Tires brakes timing chain water pump otherwise it just ran.
He is my secret confession that may get me tossed off the OB, i replaced it w a ridgeline, ya i know its not a truck but its a better fit for me just to tow a boat, farm road offroading to hunt and drive around town.
Only draw back to taco was it wasnt a good towing vehicle..... flame on on the ridgeline :)
