The lease where the bear was found should be shut down for the remainder of the season unless someone comes forward. Period.

This is getting ridiculous. Quit shooting fricking endangered animals.

don't quoute me.. but..I was told by someone - that may knnow what he was talking.. that they suspect one of the recently shot bears was not shot during daylight hours.....

so it may not have been the lease holder(s)

Remember that part where I said I hunted on Davis island where I see plenty of deer already and we've had bears around for awhile? Yeah, I don't recall that either. I'm glad you see deer and bear. I hope all the bears migrate to Davis island and you continue seeing them.
Seriously, frick you. This message board thing just doesn't work for you. Try something else.

Well technically, i think their numbers are back where they need to be and last i saw, even LDWF is trying to get them removed from the list and put some form of regulation in place to keep the population where they are now.

So from what I can gather Tom's having a shitty deer season and is blaming it on yogi and boo boo. For the record Tom, there may be a flaw in your version of the "scientific process".

they have to proof that the different populations are intermingling...

which is pretty difficult....

every time some fool shoots one it probably sets that back...

I remember when they ended bear season in La...... lots of folks were saying we wouldn't have any bears in ten years..

I am glad they were wrong.

That's what I get from it. You can tell a lot about the quality of a hunter from the amount of shite he complains about.

We haven't had that problem in Madison Parish near the Tensas refuge. I've seen deer feeding in an area where minutes before i saw a bear. You do have to be smart about how you feed. Tripod feeders are a no-no unless you put up a tripod made out of 3" pipe. Also, NEVER build a stand out of treated lumber. They will tear it apart and chew on it!

Well, let me be the first of the jackasses to invite you to GTFO.

Numbers are sufficient for delisting I have been told. Best case scenario, without opposition , it would be 3-5 years before they were hunted. However, with opposition, which there will likely be, who knows how long it will be tied up in court. They want good numbers, genetic diversity and co-mingling between north and south before de listing

A friend poured concrete in a 5 gallon bucket with a board he could strap a camera on; (no tree to mount the camera). Evidently when the bear saw the flash he attacked it. You should have seen the mess he made of the camera AND the bucket. Actually the camera wasn't too bad; it still works!

I have heard up here that it could start soon with landowners only getting tags for a period to see how that works. Those suckers love cornfields, I can tell you.

I wanted the invitation to GTFO to be explicit, in case he missed the point.
