Thanks, we bought one. I’ve been a bit intimated to pull the trigger on a generator because I was hoping to get an opinion from someone qualified first but an inverter at that price seems like a great opportunity.

Anyone have any oil recs? Looks like synthetic 5w30 would cover the most temps. Purchasing that dip stick now.

That paralleling makes me wonder if we should get two...

I use a high quality full synthetic 5W-30 like Shell Rotella or Castrol Edge.

Thanks for listing this. I just purchased it. I’ve been looking at inverted generators for the past year and haven’t pulled the trigger until today. I’ve been real close to getting harbor freight predator but this deal was too good.

I’m not real familiar with generators but if I wanted to power my refrigerator, a light or 2, TV during the day and a 10,000 BTU window unit at night which of the 2 (the one mentioned in OP or the above pictured) would be the best bet. I’m just getting it in case of outages during hurricane season.

I also saw a black max generator at Walmart for $375.

These people should give you a kickback at this point. Mark me down for one as well.

That should be fine. Don't have everything plugged in at once on startup. Start the generator, then plug things in 1 at time with a 30 second interval or so.

Any idea why that 4000w open frame inverter would be cheaper than the original one posted thats 2250w?

I’m assuming because the other one is portable where as the 4000w isn’t as portable but I’m not sure. Maybe someone on here with more knowledge will chime in

Owned the exact model for 2 years now. Bought it for tailgating initially, and its worked great for that, but last year it showed its true colors by keeping refrigerators at 4 different locations cool. Would run it for around 2 hours at each spot before moving it. My own home, MIL, Grandmother, and Grandmothers BF.

Mine came in the mail today. Ordered it on Thursday. Pretty good turn around especially with free shipping.

Anyone else gotten theirs in and cranked it up or put it to use yet?

Got one in a few days ago. Ran it about 4 hours and changed the oil. Also purchased a magnetic dipstick. Recommend that.

Starts on 2nd crank every time. have just run light loads but seems to be a good deal.

Went ahead and got 1 and a magnetic dipstick

I guess my question is how is everyone protecting theirs to keep it from being stolen

Finished the break in this weekend.

So far seems like a steal.

BTW the funnel that comes with that dip stick is a game changer as others said. I did four oil changes without making a mess which is saying something.

After thinking about it (forgetting actually) for a week, I am in for one. Thanks OP.

Glad to see it was still on sale.
