I’m going to wait and see how it performs in the field before I leave a proven caliber like the 6.5CM.

If you are looking for an excuse for a excuse to buy a new rifle, sure go for it.

Has anything been mentioned about whether or not it comes with coupons for blood trailing services.
That will be a key component of my decision between it and a 6.5 prc

I believe it has a different barrel twist that allows for shooting heavier bullets accurately. That’d make it a better elk round than the other .270s.

It shoots very accurately and is always a reliable gun to knock down any whitetail. Only downside is that the ammo is virtually impossible to find

Here's an article on it: LINK

The most interesting part? They don't compare it to the 270 WSM-its parent case and closest relative. It's like they try to avoid that comparison. Gee... I wonder why.

They haven’t really hidden the fact that it’s a restart of the 270WSM. Most people just aren’t gonna go to the trouble of building a 270WSM in a custom twist, but they will get sold on a new rifle that is the “hunting creedmoor”.

It's essentially a 6.8 creedmoor

It's a 270wsm with longer bullet.

Will most manufacturers even load it with longer bullets?

Its a faster twist 270 wsm. That allows new heavier weight higher BC bullets to be used. However, in the chart, some of the comparison to other calibers are misleading. There are heavier and higher BC bullets in other calibers that werent used. Not saying its totally inaccurate but I think its slightly misleading. Some are long action some short. They seemed to skip some such as the 6.5 saum, the noslers, weatherby magnums. Another question I have is if/when will there be more support from bullet manufacturers to support it? The ol 270 is a beloved cartridge for sure but it seems to lack a little in the new high bc bullet world hence why this was created.

Im actually very interested in it but as I have a 28 nosler and 6.5 prc not sure why I would need it other than I dontt have one lol.

Not for me it’s not.

For one, I only deer hunt. So bullet weights from 130-150 are fine for me.
Two, the 270 Winchester already kills deer further out than I can shoot.
Three, ammos gonna be high as giraffe pussy.

The high BC bullets were released in parallel to this and the 27 Nosler, with more to probably come. Winchester is claiming their loading will push the 165gr ABLR at just shy of 3000 fps with a G1 of .620. Berger also makes a 170gr with a similar BC. Been a chicken or the egg thing, and these new rifles are the chicken.

Thought the exact same thing. And that's a 50+ yr old round that every deer hunter in the world has. Guess those old timers half way knew what they were talking about and didn't need internet forums and marketing to tell them the latest and greatest round.

Seems everyone now is just going to throw a long bullet in old established rounds and throw its metric conversion caliber on the name plate and try to trick the public into thinking its the latest and greatest New "6.5 killer"

If most established calibers like 270, 30-06, 25-06, etc., had mass produced high twist barrels like all the new metric fad calibers do, they'd be "wonder" bullets as well.
