What are your thoughts? Am shocked so many new 2018s still at dealerships, looks like a buyers market. Was thinking about a 19 when the 20s come out, but now....

2018 Chevy looks way better than the new 2019. My dad likes his although it’s not Z71.

I have not noticed any issues with it yet.

shite I was thinking 19 which has the new transmission. The 18 has the reliable but clunky 6 speed.

I bought the 2018 Sierra z71 and like it very much. I didn’t like the grills on the Chevy after driving a Silverado for 16 years.

I didn’t like the looks of the 19’s of either GM products.

The 18’s also came with an 8 speed.

The 8 speed is actually the transmission with the issue so. The 6 speed is definitely the way to go.

GMC 1500 z71 2018 slt. Love it.

This is what I have been waiting for, so what is the issue with the new transmissions?

It’s not new 8 spds. The 2019 is actually should have a fix. The 8 sos apparently has issues with the torque converter. They shift hard and slam often

2018 Fords are having all kinds of motor burning excessive oil and transmission issues as well. Which of the Transmissions did Ford and GM build together? Isn't it the 10 speed?

Have a 2018 with 28k miles. So far been a solid truck. 6 speed, 6.2l, slt gmc 1500 and it's a beast.

It is but GM couldn't get it figured out in time so they went with the 8 speed for now.

They have the 10 speed figured out in the Camaro. What was the hold up in the trucks?

I love the 6.2 and probably if they had it with the 2019 Trailboss package I’d probably be driving one now.
