Surprised not more dead deer in here with the weather. Can’t get out to hunt today and it’s killing me would think they would have moved all day today.

Lincoln parish 300 SAUM at 35 yards
23 ft up a lockon
set up between a green field and bedding area

Killed a nice 8 pt this morning right at daybreak, he was headed to bed up.

Not a monster but probably 16 wide 15 high 3 1/2 yr old.

I had been letting them slide all year and needed to pull the trigger

We were at Dowlings dropping off a spike boy got and a guy had a monster 23” wide 8 point that was chasing does. Shot him around Quitman/Mt. Olive. Really impressive deer.

Back at it in Camden, MS
Same stand and set up this morning except for a 20 degree spike in temp and a stiff breeze. Everyone left the lease after the morning hunt but me due to the wind. I will take my chances. We are moving next weekend, so no hunting for me and my wife would have been nagging me to box stuff up had I went home.

Good luck fellas and be safe.

We don’t have a lot of trees down on our line. I rode it last night and saw lights at each end but nothing in between. A few limbs here and there. MEP is bringing in crews from
the coast to help out. The snow melting and limbs falling isn’t helping.

Centerville, Ms
47 with a decent wind.
My feet got wet when putting boots on and toes are frozen.
I keep drinking millers but it isn’t helping.

My plan for this evening:

No hip boots
No pirouge
No wet logs
No anything difficult.
