I agree. I was actually surprised they finally made a good looking truck.

I want to get used to it as a tundra fanboy but even seeing more of them on the road they just look goofy. Something about the body lines and overall shape. It’s like someone took the truck and stretched it end to end.

This is true of all trucks to an extent, but the gap between the best looking new Tundras and the worst looking ones is huge.

It’s like George’s girlfriend in different lighting conditions.

The ugly ones look like a bad prototype.

I drove all of them when it came time to replace my Sierra.

In 2022, it's Ram and it really isn't that close.

Yep. The new body style trucks are absolutely fantastic. They did go to a CP4 fuel pump in the diesels which was a dumbass decision but otherwise, the whole product line is great

If I'm picking just based on exterior aesthetics, I've seen a few GMC's AT4's that look great to me.

However, I currently have a 2008 Tundra that I bought new ~ 255k miles, and never had a single issue. I don't like the looks of the tundra the best, but I would probably stick with Toyota again. Every brand has lemons/duds and people with bad experiences, but my personal experience with Toyota is enough to make me stick with them and I'll likely get the new version after its been out awhile and I see some real world reviews.

I like the RAM interior pics - but I've never driven one.

We have a great Ford dealer in our area that dominates the market. Everyone I know drives a white F150 or F250. But I've also had 2 friends buy brand new ones that immediately had to be fixed for major issues that took months to get back.

I've seen some of the new higher end trims that look good. It's a shame they no longer offer it is a V8 or diesel.

I was a Dodge hater like most. I have a 2019 Ram limited and it has been the best vehicle I have had. My nephew laughs at me for owning one while his Silverado has shite the bed more than once

Just sold a 2003 ram, that had almost 300k on it. I bought the same 2019 limited. Which if you run the vin it comes back as a Bighorn.

I've never cared about brands, as long as they work. Which the new chevys with snake eyes head light are ugly as sin.

Options I would choose in no particular order

Hemi Ram
Coyote F150
6.2 GM

I wouldn't touch a new Tundra right now. I had the last generation, a 2008 for a few years and I like it. My dad had a 2007 and had all the issues they were known for. Toyota drivers put their head in the sand when it comes to their flaws. I think they should have done what ram did, updating the transmission halfway through the run to be more efficient but they stuck with the 6 speed the entire run. A last gen 5.7 Tundra with a 10 speed transmission would be a great option that never existed.

I always find this interesting. Every single time a new truck is introduced, there is a claim it's ugly.

Supply chain issues and quality control issues.
I would have said Ford F150.

Now I would say Dodge Ram.
Common truck, been around, and hemi.

They all have issues.
Ram a Chrysler product.
Ford quality been horrible lately.
GM 5.3 has had issues.
Nissan I had one pre covid in a Diesel and Gas.
-Diesel had issues
-Gas was a solid vehicle just loved alot of gas and not enough to separate it from the pack.
Toyota Tundra just hard to find one.

I've bought over the years, Fords, Nissans, Rams, Chevys. Mostly as work trucks in the places I've run.

My ranking is

Ford
Toyota
Nissan
Chevy
Ram

Based entirely on issues. Even with the Ram's at the bottom, we still bought a lot of them new. But those diesels were snakebit.

He's not wrong. COMBINED GMC/Chevy outsell Ford. Down votes don't make a fact untrue.

The best looking Tundra IMO was the fairly small first gen. The second gen was good looking too but a little more exaggerated.

The new ones just look weird to me.

These were really nice looking IMO. Just a no-nonsense truck:

I’m going to have to put an asterisk by this because every make/model truck looks more strange and over styled to me relative to the 1990-2005 generation of pickups.

There are exceptions. Ford’s 2018-2020 F-150 looks good to me. The 2016-2019 Silverado looked good. The latest Ram and Sierra are both really nice looking too. But generally trucks are looking more and more like a caricature of a pickup.

Took them a while, but they finally fixed that mistake.

I hear they are putting the ZF trans in the diesels soon.

Agree, way overdone, and what is with pressing the truck name into the gd sheet metal instead of a stick on badge??? And the front quarter panel plastic badges and shite. Looks like the designers like the stick-on trinkets at Auto Zone.
