Couldn’t hunt this evening but on way home from work saw a 12 pt in my neighbors pasture with two does. NEVER see that unless rut is wide open he walked off little hammer and I perused with rifle after but didn’t see him again. For St Tammany parish a 12 point is damn near unbelievable

I know the feeling. We have a nice 10 running around. Best deer anyone has seen in years. Still alive from what I'm told.

Our neighbor at our lease sent me a nice night picture from his game camera if the deer I shot. Let’s you see how nice the deer was compared to a ground shot.

He’s close to 200. We haven’t weighed him yet as we are getting supper together. 7 guys in camp this weekend.

Had a nice 4 point in the field about 515 . Just waiting for it to get broadside for my 9 yr old. About that time the neighbors 4 collared dogs come barreling through. That’s the second time. Get along good with them but asked if they could keep them put up or on their property. We shall see.

Photobucket is not loading my pics for some reason. I had deer all over me this evening from 2 until dark. I saw a doe literally lay down in the food plot I was on for 45 minutes. All you could see was her ears due to the thickness of the food plot. This place is 1,700 acres, with 100 acres of similar food plots. The rest is hardwoods and pines. Oats, turnips, and wheat are in the plots.

7 hunters this evening and well over 100 deer were seen. Hopefully the big ones are cruising in the morning.
