Saw 2 young bucks cruising between 11 and noon.

Left at 12 to go eat and feed cows. Coming back out here saw a great big set of tracks on top of my 4wheeker tracks. Hopped in the closest stand to it.

One small five point was out and went back into the thicket. The rest are does and still eating. I watched one them squat to piss. That was pretty cool as I could see the piss glistening through the sunlight.

Some big daddies have to be coming out today.

Do you use a grunt call and/or Tinks #69 Doe-In-Rut or Code Blue/Red?

I think that's a line from a Hemingway novel

Had a great duck hunt in the colorado river bottom in Garwood, Texas. Never had a lull in seeing ducks. I love that sound of duck wings right before shooting time where you can’t really see but you know it’s about to be on. And that’s when one of the dogs decided to jump in the water after a duck that had landed in the decoys.

Back out here in the ground blind. Don't know if I should hunt plots or rub lanes. Haven't had luck with either lately.

Just got back from Wayne County, MS. Shot on a really good rack New Year's Day. He went down when I shot then popped up and took off favoring his front shoulder. I got down from my stand and found hair and pieces of flesh just in time for a downpour to come through. It rained for a good hour after that and we looked for the deer for another 3 hours, but didn't have any luck.

Back in good ole Livingston Parish now until the end of season. Still have some decent racks on camera. Good luck guys

I got soaked this morning. Doing a east bunny slipper hunt now in itawamba county. Let a beautiful young 8 pt walk this morning and just when I started feeling good about it I heard a shot from the dink killing neighbors. Drove over after the hunt and the dudes jacket string caught on the trigger when he was trying to shoot the same buck and his scope gave him a black eye.

Sounded like something you’d read on the OT.

Yea, I’m back at it. Fingers cross this wind lays down a little before dark. It’s blowing every bit of 20-25 out of the west.

I saw deer this morning but they were quick to bed back down. I know there’s still some wet does out here so hoping for a good looking set of horns to show up. I’m still sick about that main frame 10 that busted me last week.
