I should be on a stand but I’m trying to get my 4wheeler cranked. Think the starter is froze. Have a heater on it now and gonna see if that works

Wearing my entire closet, plus toe warmers stuck all over my body.

Looking for a big buck that has eluded me for 3.5 years, someone saw him earlier this week on this stand but couldn’t get a shot. Hopefully ole fuzzy nuts slips up this morning.

Good luck boys, and stay warm!

Y'all be careful out there. With the wind blowing, I think the deer will be laying on the north side of woods next to a field. Most likely will feed about mid day.

Daylight is here and still can’t get it started. Gonna feed cows and drive my truck as far as I can then walk. Won’t have a heater but I’ll give it a try

In box stand with heater if necessary

Guy this weekend had three bucks come in to one of our food plots. He went to shoot the biggest one and his gun clicked and wouldn’t fire. No matter what he did he couldn’t get it to fire, so he had to sit and watch the bucks feed until dark lol.

Gonna see if I can do a little better.
Good luck everybody!!

I’m on a food plot / cutover. Hoping to catch big daddy trying to refuel after a night of loving.

Thinking with the wrong head has these boys crazy. Earlier in the week, a guy at my lease shot a buck and didn’t kill him. That dude came back out a couple hours later trailing a doe in the same food plot. Didn’t get away that time. Even a bullet didn’t stop his biological urges!

Centreville MS - 21 degrees.
Box stand on south side of 200 yd food plot.
Was reading OB at 7:15 when I looked up and saw a nice 8pt come out middle of plot at 130 yards or so, nose to ground / not sure I’ve seen him on camera before.
Once he quartered towards me to the left I let my 30-06 loose at his front left quarter.
He jumped and sort of trotted off into pine thicket on the right.
Gonna give him some time and go look for trail around 8:15 - wish me luck!

Good luck.

I tried walking to a millennium stand I have on a ridge. Lasted 30 minutes. Wind was just too much blowing through that mesh seat. Drove to another piece of the property and walked 400 yards to a stand on some big fields with 3 yrs of growth. Platform stand with 4 walls and solid back chair. As soon as my but hit the chair I see a buck, nose to the ground disappear into the woods. Can’t change bad timing but I’ll be here till kickoff

Didn’t get off till 6:30, so been in here since about 7:45. Pointe Coupee Parish. Still cold as crap. Saying 27 degrees with wind chill of 16. Ran deer out of the field coming in. Box stand with a little heater going wide open. Feels like day after tomorrow crap. Don’t know that I can feel it from 8” away. Deer been moving all morning though. Big doe runs across road. 10 minutes later, another big doe runs across. 30 minutes after that, big deer runs out with nose to the ground. Wouldn’t you know? Another doe. I’m dealing with some serious gender identification syndromes going on in my deer herd this year.
