I almost love the distance races better than sprints because of the strategy, the slowly building drama, and then the mad dash finish.

Distance is definitely a lot of fun to watch. Whether it's for the strong runner who's playing everyone by preserving her energy in the back. Or when it's a weaker runner who overplays their hand by leading the pack for 3 laps, only to utterly fall behind by 50 meters.
