I’m a man who was a college athlete. When only running one 400 I could open it up and my best ever was 55 seconds.
For a woman to run 58 seconds on the first 400 of an 800 run when she isn’t even a runner only is wild

Decathlon and heptathlon are brutal. You get 10 or 7 events so you don’t have to be great in all of them. But if you have one very bad event it is tough to medal.
