Anecdotally I feel like they always carry us. Jokes aside, women in the USA have it better than just about anywhere else in the world.

Embiid you can’t allow that rebound.

I’ve been saying this for years. US women dominate in sports that don’t even move the needle here but are every other nation’s pastime. Kinda hard to scream about equality when you really look at it.

Femke looked gassed in that race. I’m not saying that’s why or that syd would have been the same if it was but she made sure she was as fresh as possible for that race.

It almost felt like Sydney was stalking her like her prey.
I just don’t think that Sydney needs to be as conservative. She is just that damn good. She doesn’t need to just focus on 400H and the relay.
I think she could have done mixed this year.
I’m curious if she will do the 400 flat only, going forward. Or double up.

I have to imagine she wants to take the WR sub 50.

If she does that you're looking at Sonya Richard-Ross's replacement (when she takes over trackside for Lewis Johnson).

Femke didn't run in the qualifying round of the mixed relay, only the final, but what a final she ran. I like Femke and don't disagree she may have been a little gassed. But......
Syd totally shock her at the 7th and 8th hurdle which affected the rest of her race. I've been there before in a 400 where someone took it to another gear, I tried to keep up but couldn't, then ran a crappy rest of the race.
I don't care how mentally strong someone is, its almost impossible to recover from someone doing that to you in a race. Its almost like try to guard Steph Curry when he is on a heater and wont miss, then all of sudden you start missing wide open shots on the other end.

Femke couldn’t see her, so it’s entirely possible she felt like she was in the lead, and then within a split second it felt like she was behind by a mile and had to press more than what was comfortable to her.
