Kamila Valieva, a 15-year-old figure skater from the Russian Olympic Committee, tested positive for a banned heart medication prior to arriving at the Beijing Olympics, a development that could rescind her and her team’s gold medal in the women’s team figure skating event.

Gotta increase that oxygen uptake somehow.

I was OK with the Russian athletes competing who had tested positive or part of the whole scandal but at this point they need a complete timeout.

If everybody is alright with Bonds and Clemens cheating on this board what difference does it make if the Russians are too?

Bonds and Clemens have been basically erased by the MLB, not allowed into Cooperstown under an alias.

There is also a difference between inidivudal and institutional cheating.

I hope they still let her perform she is much better than everyone else. Even if they don’t let her have a metal. I’m still for the steroid Olympics. Let’s just see what humans are capable of.

I don't blame her because she's 15 years old and is more than likely a victim in this whole thing as well. Yeah, Russia cheats. They pump their athletes full of illegal dope. Does anybody think she had a choice? I don't.

I mean the Chinese are going to have full crispred kids in the 2034 Olympics. Full doped athletes will be equivalent of them then.

Is it really cheating if she takes medication for a rapid HR or something?

A 15 year old shouldn’t be taking that kind of meds. She doesn’t have a weak heart

My issue is who gave it to her? Her coaches or federation coaches? She popped hot and they hid the test from how I understand it.

My resting HR is often over 100. Probably a medication I’m taking. It’s uncomfortable and they won’t even let me do a stress test when it’s like that. I’m taking proponolol for the time being

Oh wow, that is high.

I was wondering if it was something like your resting going from 65 to 73 or something trivial like that. > 100 seems well with taking a medication for

Mines usually around 100-105. But I have a compacted sinus (my sinus canal is pure bone no air flow at all on that one side) so to get the oxygen and blood to organs it has to be that.
