Hockey is king. Sweden isn’t a sports starved country. A track and field athlete will never hold a candle to hockey or soccer or skiing events ins Sweden. Just like a track star will never compete with football, basketball, or baseball here no matter how awesome they are
People are acting like Sweden is Haiti and therefore they are flocking to a pole vaulter

Imagine if Joel Embid never did any interview or public appearance speaking English. How do you think people would view him as “American”?
