Not gonna lie it was fun to cheer for Curry.

For a brief moment I understood why GS fans are so fricking insufferable

It’s all about rooting interest in my opinion

I’m not a huge NBA guy though I enjoy the games. But I’ll never get that excited about a great performance by the Celtics or Warriors.

France lost both the football and basketball gold medal matches. Probably their most coveted events. Sucks to suck.

And they will also lose the women’s basketball gold to the U.S. Sucks to be France.

Not a Heat fan, but I wouldn't mind Eric Spoelstra as the HC next time around.

Unreal shooting by Steph. What a fun game to watch. Olympic basketball is so much better when it’s competitive.

Next-level willing us to a win. Reminds me of him in the NCAAs when he played for Davidson(I know they didn’t win, but he hit some ridiculous shots and overall performance was ridiculous). I’ve always loved Steph because he isn’t prototype, but he plays better than any prototype for his position and in the biggest moments. I knew as long as we got him back in at 3:00 that we’d be getting gold regardless of Lebron, etc.

The US will continue to have the deepest team. I just see other countries catching from a top end talent point. Durant, James, and Curry are a basically unguardable trio of top end talent. I don’t see that next group replacing them in the US right now. I do not see Tatum and Edward’s as anywhere close to those three right now.

The guys I expect to see in LA

Ant
Booker
A Davis
Embiid if he wants to be there
Halliburton
Adebayo and/or Chet

Then there are a whole bunch of guys we don’t have a handle on

Hell, Cooper Flagg may be a lock by then and Zion may be 250 pounds (we can hope)

I agree. LeBron, Durant, and Curry are unbelievable.

Much like no one picked up the mantle from Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps.

This next generation won’t be as good, but that can change quite quickly, and the rest of the guys are still very talented.

Wemby is one guy to keep an eye on, certainly. But he will have less room for error because his supporting cast won’t be as good as ours.

Because they don’t play like that in the N.B.A.
That’s a lie. NBA basketball looks a whole lot more like international basketball than it does the old NBA.

This game looked just like a playoff NBA game.

People old enough remember the same thing with Jordon and pretty much the rest of the Dream Team. If you wear an NBA fan during his career and your team was anyone but the Bulls you respected MJ but you also "hated" him and likely hated the Bulls' fans with a passion. There is something special when they all come together and you get to root for the greats and root for your team as well (except the American haters). Another clear example was Chuck. He had been one of if not the most hated player in the NBA for almost his entire run. Barcelona turned him into a crowd favorite and allowed him to become the Chuck everyone loves today. Still an a-hole but he is everyone's a-hole now not just 6ers, Suns, or Rockets fans.

Probably where he’s from. This is the first time anyone on France’s team has been to France.
