I did. It's a horrible post. Thanks for reminding me.

What an amazing counter with nothing to back it up. I’d probably say the same thing if I couldn’t present a valid argument in return as well. What is it with LSU fans and “The 2019 National Championship Team”? Y’all should be happy that you have multiple titles just since 2000 and with the right staff, don’t have to hardly leave the state for recruits as long as the hospital money keeps coming in. Y’all are the highest achievers with the largest inferiority complex. FFS. Enjoy not sucking or shitting the bed every time you almost or “should win” and be happy that your school doesn’t do it at every given opportunity. I know that y’all are pissed that BK couldn’t deliver but y’all are always in the mix and usually at or near the top. Enjoy it, because the other shoe smells like shite. fricking entitled pussy.

You’ll be back to form soon enough. Enjoy it while it lasts like we did with Bobby’s first go-round.
Look at the post directly above yours and actually read it.

Also, if it came down to coaching and in-game decisions Cignetti would smoke Ed O., so that wouldn’t be good.

Nice cherry picking from what I stated. I also said I thought it would be a crapshoot. I’m no fan of either team but if you think this past year’s Indiana squad wasn’t salty, then how did they manage to run the table with more games, players getting paid more, and higher stakes. All Burrow had to do was chuck it to Jefferson and Chase and it was pretty much a guaranteed td. Both are/were good teams in their own right. I’ll agree that lsu had more “talent” but where are most of those coaches that you just cited now and how are they doing?… Same with those 14 players - only 3 have Super Bowl rings.

I think Acuff has all of the tools and Cal made a great point by flat out saying during his playing time here the focus was on Acuff facilitating the offense and others picking up the slack on defense (for better or worse). I do think that the TO thing will improve as Acuff adjusts to better defenders who study film and are better at anticipating in advance. But he should be fine - he has everything he needs to be special.

Tough to say - 2019 LSU was a gem. But I could see Indiana being able to move the ball and potentially make enough stops to make a game or maybe win. Also, if it came down to coaching and in-game decisions Cignetti would smoke Ed O., so that wouldn’t be good. I still say it’s a crapshoot and it would be a hell of a litmus test for both squads if time travel existed. One thing I do know is that 2019 Arkansas does not belong in this conversation.
Shame - he was awesome to watch regardless. Has some amazing highlight plays!

That’s awesome. From what I understand, Pringle has had a very difficult life (family issues or something). Proud to see he finished with our jersey, degree and shot at the league!
Prothro underrated. Didn’t he break his leg/ankle on a TD catch(in addition to that gem around Southern Miss dude’s helmet)? Great highlight real and powerful and fast as hell for someone that small.

Don't believe he ever beat Saban.

Most didn’t and I don’t think anyone that did ever did so the same year that they went to a BCS bowl. Also, the 2010 game was incredible until Alabama’s last drive - by that point there wasn’t enough time left for our O to make it back on the field and our D was gassed and getting pounded by Mark Ingram. The only two regular season games Petrino lost that year was that heartbreaker to Bama(hats off coming in and winning in one of the wildest crowds I’ve seen in Fayetteville) and Auburn with Ryan Mallett knocked out early from a cheap shot by Nick Fairley led by Cam Newton. Never said we were flawless or that Petrino dominated everyone but he had us on what appeared to be a holistic upswing and quite a few people were starting to get the “oh shits” when our name came up on the schedule. Petrino may be a lot of things but he is a damned good coach and in certain regards a lot like Saban. The second he hit campus players were back in classrooms, back in the weight room, and generally working their asses off - unlike Nutt who played favorites and didn’t know how to keep a bunch of little shits in line.

For these reasons, from the Aggies fans' perspective, yea, John L Smith should be on this list. His 2012 Hogs team made me feel bad for Arky fans. In 2011, Arky was 11-2, 6-2 in SEC, and 5th ranked team in the country. In 2012, under John L Smith, Arky season was 4-8, 2-6 in SEC.

Petrino was striking tFear into everyone until he sexed his way out of his job. Sucks. Then just horrible hire after horrible hire.
I figured someone would just go all in. All worthy contenders.
1a) Chad Morris
1b) John L. Smith*
*Interim, but did coach full season.

Can’t believe you still have more upvotes than downvotes for this one.

Trust me. Sulli is right on it. To put it simply, Frank had his reasons(by no means was a Democrat, but was scared to death of politics coming into play).
May have been stated but there are only estimated 44 of 138 FBS teams with naming rights associated with their stadiums. And I’m not aware of a lot of big time programs that have sacrificed their tradition and slapped businesses in their backyard in the face like this(at least by appearances) for an unknown credit union. 44/138 = approx. 31.9%. Not aware of any school besides Indiana(who are just now a big name because they made a smart coaching hire and then went all in way beyond naming rights money and bought a roster) that’s very significant on the list that’s given up their virginity. Sometimes I math a bit - not going to look up who said that because I misquoted DVH’s old arse age. This program still needs an enema. Until Yuracek is gone, it won’t get better.
Kind of think Auburn or Florida. Don’t know if Tennessee would be considered a dark horse, but I could see Heupel pulling some rabbits out of his hat. Certainly not us. We’re still perpetually “rebuilding”.

Back when we briefly were winning. Good times.
See my prior response. If they would have just bought a team like everyone else, I wouldn’t care.
