McEwan is going I to a jump off with Kerr for gold.

Would have been cool if they just shared and we got a gold I didn’t see happening.

Every time I check this board and think we're tied with China I look and see China has got another gold medal and something else does anybody know what else they've got left

I think it’s just women’s 75 kilo boxing for China.

U.S. men winning basketball will leave us down by 1 going into the final day.

Women’s basketball is as close to a guarantee as you can get, so that’s a tie.

Need to pull 1 more from women’s volleyball, breakdancing, or Kennedy Blades in wrestling.

I’m not sure if any of our women’s cycling teams are gold medal contenders in tomorrow’s events.

ETA: Apparently China is also favored in women’s 81+ kilo weightlifting. I thought they were worse at the higher weight classes.

So we need Blades, Volleyball, and both basketball golds.

So China has nothing tomorrow? If so, if we end up only down 1 to China by todays’s end, I think we’re good.

IIRC the volleyball team put us over the top in Tokyo. Hopefully history repeats.

Wouldn’t we be tied going into tomorrow if we win this men’s basketball game?

China also has a very likely gold tomorrow in weightlifting. US is already out of breakdancing and wrestling.

I think realistically for the US it comes down to
M BB should win
W BB should win
W Volleyball probably 50-50
Cycling no clue

US needs to win 3 of these to tie China and 4 to win unless China gets upset big in one of their final 2 events(boxing and weightlifting)

the volleyball team would essentially tie us... the W BB is what would put us over the top, for good

I think he's factoring in a Chinese 75 kilo boxing win.
