I think now they have to cut the other end of the same pipes.

I'm guessing they want to cut away the kill/choke/riser lines so the shear can get a clean grip on the riser itself. If that's the case they will likely make two cuts on each pipe.

Redstick13, did you see where I looked up the collapse of Q, it is 11,140# ? Not that much IMO!!

I missed that. That's for certain the grade casing they ran? You're right, it isn't that much. They likely would have been cutting it close in order to run that long string. Weight would have been a problem for them.

That guy that's sawing is really getting the hang of it now. Earlier, he tried to put the blade back in the kerf without the blade turning and it looked like it put it in a bind. I assume they have some sort of rpm monitor to see if he is cutting or just spinning.
