I'm not answering your stupid question because you're a stupid person. It is the parents fault. Nothing else to it.

That's news to me that ISIS carries out vasectomies and tube tying.

And do you really think these idiots should be having another kid?

So you're saying it was the right decision to kill the gorilla but not the parents who are too dumb and irresponsible to watch their own damn kid?
This is what you posted. Just wanting you to clarify. Hence the yes or no question.

Do you think they should kill the parents?

Why do you say that?

I don't know but I certainly don't want the general population or the government having the authority to dictate who can or cannot procreate.

Is there more to the story than what the article contains? It doesn't contain any facts about what happened.

Did the cops call child protection services???

This is a huge failure and dereliction of parenting and says a lot about their parenting. I fear for this kid, he should be taken away.

Why is the video so edited? Every time the ape starts to do something, the video cuts off. Also, did they not get the shooting on video?

The parents should face some punishment. At least a fine.

I'll never understand the animal lovers that think a fricking gorilla's life is more valuable than a human's life.

What inherent value does a human's life have over another species? Disregarding any religious nonsense. We simply inhabit this earth, we don't own it.

From the video, it didn't look like the gorilla was doing anything bad. He was just chilling with the kid. Maybe he was trying to take care of him or something. That's how the story and video look

Also, "Mommy is right here". Wtf is wrong with that bitch? I'd be in that damn cage fighting that big arse thing off the second I knew he was in there. Instead, her response was to just leave the kid with the huge gorilla until someone shot it while the kid was in between his legs. Any mom that cares about her kid more than herself would've hopped in without thinking.

frick, there's a 99% chance I would've gone in even if it wasn't my kid

I agree. Although I think it should be a lesser punishment than death.

Fine and at least partial compensation for the replacement cost of the gorilla

That ranks as one of the most stupid posts I've ever read on this board. What the hell is wrong with you? You think Human life is no more valuable than any other species? That's fricking insane.

Agree. I would prefer a powerful tranq first though and ten minutes seems long. There was no one in the primate area with a tranq gun?

Again, tranquilizers take time. Even if it only takes 30 seconds, the gorilla could kill the kid in about 2 seconds. And as for the gorilla not looking like it's going to hurt the kid, it's an untamed wild animal. There is no way to know what it's going to do from one second to the next. It could be just dragging the kid by the arm one second and then pick the kid up by that same arm and start beating it against the wall the next second. And as powerful as a gorilla is, it would only take one swing to kill the kid.

Poor gorilla saved a drowning 4 year old, and got shot.

Almost as bad as the white rhino running around fields outside of Lafayette that was killed.
