This is more realistic I think. Low 970s. Near 80 kt (90 mph) hurricane. HMON with a similar idea.

Really annoying that they use knots instead of MPH.

Dropsonde in eye showed 989 millibars but also 20 kt winds so maybe it missed center by a little and pressure is a little lower than 989??

ETA - Vortex Message says 989 mb a small drop from earlier.

Yeah there's a little wind all the way down so they might have missed the center by a little, so I think you'd might correct that down to 988 or so. At least a two mb drop since previous pass, so it is strengthening some.

ETA: yeah, 989 on VDM. Notable eye character and shape is NA still. Which is a good sign, as it is still having to work on organization some.

I'd get ready to rob the pharmacy of all the schedule 2s.

End of the world is coming, and I figure adderall and oxycotin will have value in the collapse of society.

Rotated that hot tower around to the SW side that I showed earlier. Has been consistent in firing off storms on the NE side, starting to rotate them around, and then firing them off again on the NE. In the process of building a true inner core.

Outflow is expanding well to the north of Zeta too, probably getting a little help from the slowly approaching cut off low with it's SW to NE flow.

During that huge tornado outbreak in Alabama in 2013, They panned the camera and caught James Spann with his suspenders pulled off to the sides sitting in front of a bank of computer screens. Butthole puckering ensued.

It's about got the deep convection wrapped all the way around the center and little warm spots keep showing up. These are right near the persistent deep convection in the NE side, which suggests it might be the start of an eye.

Recon just took off a few minutes ago, so we'll find out the answer in the next hour or two.

The presentation improvement has been substantial over the past three hours or so. That's an eye. Firing off extremely cold cloudtops on the east side now and persistent with those sub -80 tops.

My concern level is rising quickly.
