Feels like wind picking back up in Slidell, eye was very eerie. But read that the back end of the eye wall was breaking up and might not get that round 2 around here

I have to admit I feel slightly guilty sitting in my recliner watching tv while the ceiling fan and ac are running while looking out my window and seeing flashlights shining in my neighbors windows

Let them come run a pot of coffee in the morning.

Adair lost four windows in his car. They were trying to move to a nearby location and something must have hit their car.

If you are standing in the road looking at the restaurant, as 12:00, turn around and face 6:30-7:00. The house is aboot 100 yds off the road.

I assumed it had to be down by Terry’s. Makes sense.

Started getting big gusts in mandeville about 30 min ago, sky was lighting up with transformers blowing but power stayed on for a while, went out about 10 min ago for good. Still gettting the big gusts, 60 mph or so I would guess. One big limb down so far and about half a bottle of jack

I thought the northern eyewall was supposed to be worse? These south eyewall winds feel worse.

In this case the SE eyewall was the worst part of the storm but for NOLA the storm is still pulling in a bunch of air and getting some help from the storm system bringing the front.

I'm going to go back to sleep, so forgive the lack of much explaination. It's a little odd but not unheard of especially as the extratropical transition begins.

Ehhh I really like Bevolo, isn't Flambeaux imported? Bevolo is hand made in NOLA.

Could be, website says handmade in new orleans.

The look is almost exact, price is considerable.

If you like bevolo then do it, I dont work for either, just throwing an option.

Pressure change can blow those windows out.

If there's one thing I learn from hurricane threads, it's that a whole lot of us are neighbors

I’m in nola, never lost power, not even a shingle.

I’m going crank down the AC, eat some homemade chicken pot pie and drink a bottle of wine and hit the rack.

It’s been real. Hope you all are safe.

Gonna go hit the road tomorrow and check on friends and loved ones and make sure our camps are still floating.

Slightly off topic since I know, or think, BR was not badly impacted but does on-campus housing have generators ot secondary power lines?

Adair’s windows may have been blown out by the pressure. He says his back window was sucked out.
