So far Trudy White's inability to punish people based on their crimes has at least two people dead and a young girl with a lifetime of injuries and no mother.

The single mom who lived in Beauregard Town with her 6 year old daughter. She let Artemis Jackson go free on the premise that he would "do three random acts of kindness" when he was arrested on gun charges.
Jackson killed the mom and shot the 6 year old multiple times in the back to ultimately steal a TV from their home.

That was a sad story man. Haven't thought about it in a few months, but that really affected me a lot. I even took a day off of work after I found out about it.

Damn. Really? She ought to be tried & punished for her sheer negligence & incompetence. Judges like her need to face the consequences of their actions. And how much do you want to bet that she's locked away a few weed dealers?

The alleged murderer was an atheist (no surprise there) with a knocked up 17 year old girlfriend (see above regarding level of surprise).

Well at least the religious seem to have a pretty firm grip on the douchebag status.
The guy killed someone who raped the girl he cares about.
I see no issue here.
I've been in a relationship like that before, the urge to do violence eats at you. You want the person to hurt more than they hurt the person you care about.
The smart thing is to try to help the victim through it. But I'll be damned if I'll fault him for taking matters into his own hands. That pedo was a rabid animal who needed to be put down.

If that turns out to be the case, I'll consider it. But he will still rot in jail, as he deserves to. His vengeance will have resulted in three lives ruined...his, his 17 year old girlfriend, and his unborn child. Hope it was worth it.

The girlfriend was apparently one of the guy's victims.

Must be different in other states.
But I think 2nd degree means a life sentence anyway....probably doesn't in most states.
