YouTube demonetizes The Great War channel.

Erase history. Only the present exists.

This is bullshite. Probably one of my favorite channels and loved how they branched out to cover the inter war years and WWII.

Isnt the book 1984 where they destroy all history books and rewrite it to where the party always is right and just

People who have pages that focus on national and world news, LGBTQ issues, and feature different kinds of weapons have been complaining for a couple of years now that YouTube just automatically demonetizes their videos purely based off of the keywords used to describe their videos.

A few people got together recently to test their theory that, despite denials, YouTube does have some sort of word list that gets you automatically demonetized and the results aren't a good look for YouTube. LINK

What really pisses creators off is that a guy like Phil DeFranco can run the exact same news story as Fox or CNN and he'll get almost instantly demonetized while they don't have anything happen to them.

IMO the nefarious route would be it's probably more likely that YouTube isn't trying to silence people whose ideals don't jive with theirs so much as they are getting paid to push content created by corporations with deep pockets and are fine with a side effect being that it cuts off revenues for smaller independent creators.

The not so nefarious theory would be that YouTube has simply been cheap and lazy with their entire system and have a mediocre algorithm supplemented by random people from various countries with wildly different values than ours policing content that they may not understand w/few if any guidelines to let them know what is and isn't ok for advertisers.

Well they stripped Laura Ingles (the "Little House on the Prarie" author) of some award(s) she had won this week.

The next step would be to ban her books.

I was arguing the other day with some people. Eddie Murphy apparently “apologized” for some of his material in Raw and Delirious (comedy gold through and through).

And yes, men change through their lives. In our youth we are hard, edgy, reckless.

Children and family life tend to blunt the edge a bit. Humble us. Make us realize how stupid we were in the past.

But it doesn’t make the past less funny.


I find this passage from Raw particularly poignant, especially in hindsight. Eddie Murphy is talking about a call he got from Bill Cosby admonishing him on his language, and Eddie called up Richard Pryor,

And in that time, those laughs were real. It’s funny. But these chuckle choking SJWs come and try to apply their hyper modern social mores to things from 30 some years ago and get retroactively offended.

And in a vacuum it wouldn’t matter. They are the people whom everyone else can’t stand because they ruin a good time with their sanctimoniousness.

But in this age of social media their voices are somehow amplified a thousandfold and they are given power instead of being ignored. And the choice is to recant and repent or face the digital lynch mob, as can be seen with Chapelle.

But frick them. Just because some spoilsports decide to dictate what can and can’t be lampooned (Murphy poked fun at all
Sorts of groups in his stand ups, but only certain ones are verboten now?)


The bullshite must be fought back against and they need to be told


Because giving even the slightest inch of ground to these harpies merely drives them into a frenzy of demands on what can and can’t be said.
