Jody, I knew your dad. You and I are the same age , our Dads are the same age and went to Istrouma together. Barnett and my dad were roommates when all this happened .

I could watch that video 50 times a day and never get tired of it.
Gary actually did what 99% of people make empty threats about doing in that situation. Needs to be some kind of Baw Hall of Fame page on here and have him as first inductee.

I wish he would do a full episode on the case on his Casual Criminalist channel. It's a little more freewheeling on that channel and Simon usually has some funny comments at the end, especially when the bad guy gets what was coming to them.
The evolution of him as a host of the channel has been wild. When he first started, he was very much against the death penalty. Now when he films an episode and he finds out that a particularly nasty criminal finally gets caught he is like "Give him the frickING chair!"

Do me a favor, google yourself and the Plauches on this site (which I assume you did to find this thread anyway) and take note of how much you gush over it all. It’s…..noticeable.

Gary Plauche is a folk hero. That's all there is to it. There's a reason there's a cult following of the story and it ain't me. He's a hometown hero, and you're faulting me for...recognizing he made a tough but correct choice?
