Anyone in LA hearing of youth sports leagues / travel ball tournaments being postponed?

Our rec league is starting to get calls from parents asking what we are going to do, if anything. So far we have yet to make any cancellations. There are no confirmed cases in our parish, but I'm sure it has arrived.

Louisiana Soccer League just cancelled everything for "this weekend". I have a feeling it won't be back anytime soon

Is this going to interfere with my 7 year old's pro career? I feel like if he's missing this season it's going to reflect on him down the road. I don't want him to be behind.

Let's be honest. He was behind the instant your sperm found the egg.

2D sports just sent an email saying they’re in discussions about what to do and will let us know what’s going to happen for tournaments and stuff. LHSAA sent an email out last week so I’m expecting to get one today or tomorrow canceling all high school sporting events

My kids school just sent out an email saying that all sports are now restricted to players and coaches only...

they cant stop me from watching from the fence line...

This was a school decision..not a LHSSA decision.

As long as his access to a cage is not hindered, he should be fine. If he’s a pitcher that’s a bigger issue. Somehow he needs to get 60-70 pitches every other day to maintain his stamina, but it’s doable if you work with him.

Cancelling rec/high school sports that are outside is such a hysterical response at this time. Not 100 spectators players at each game. Especially if there are no reported cases of the virus in the area.

Mine too... What club does your son wrestle for...?

He was really disappointed because he had to miss the the meet at Central. He wrestles for Scorpions.. He took second in his class at The BRAWL Open at EA.
