I think it's more like it can travel 27ft max, not that it always does.

Basically.

You need a certain number of viruses (infectious dose) to become sick.

If the average infectious dose is X, you’re not going to receive X viruses from someone 27 feet away from you unless you’re sharing breaths with them through a 27 foot long pipe.

Trump to give new guidelines on social distancing today. Will he say “27 feet?”

Isn't that the whole point of a ventilation system?

According to an expert in corona viruses I work for, have one or two vectors is not enough to infect a person. It takes a shite ton and the further away you are the volume dissipates. Technically they are probably right, but you are unlikely to be infected.

The problem is, these “experts” can’t seem to get on the same page about any of this. I choose cautious skepticism at this point.
good. You should be cautious about what you believe. Experts have been wrong, you need to stay up to date. But saying you don’t trust an mit researcher is just ignorant.

Or maybe the medical professionals are tired of having to correct the resident Doomcasters.

Exactly! Who needs advice from silly MIT scientists? LA seems to have this all under control.

This is nice to know for people who have serious underlying health issues. It is very meaningless for everyone else. If you’re 10 feet away from someone with the virus who sneezes you have a 1 in 10,000 chance of getting it.

Social-distancing guidelines to stay 6 feet from others may be woefully inadequate, one scientist warns — saying the coronavirus can travel 27 feet and linger for hours.
Someone's trying to deceive here.

Can't be real science because it's not metric measurements.
