I spent plenty time there as well.... when I walked in they had A bud on the bar for me . Sissy was great.........

1. Friar Tucks, Nola, 2009-2010 - perfect bar for a college freshman.

2. The Pastry War, Houston, 2019-2020 - fantastic margaritas and a great setting.

3. Corner Bar, Lafayette, 2014-2016 - My go to happy hour spot back before I had kids.

Alternate - Freds, BR, 2011-2014 - enough said.

ETA: Alternate #2 - Shady’s, BR, 2009-2011. RIP Sweet Prince.

That is not true, if your bar doesn't have a kitchen you are looking at $25-40k to run the gas line, plumb, buy and install the hood, buy equipment, the 3 compartment sink, grease trap, etc. If you have a working kitchen they are giving out the license, those without a kitchen are looking at a very tough situation short of coming out of pocket 25-40k.
