There is no way some of the bars are selling enough food to meet the threshold. I’m assuming the state is being lenient with it

Maybe in some places but I know the Fire Marshall isn’t being lenient. The Fire Marshall office is a bigger arse clown than JBE’s office.

If you just make your customers sit at a table and order some wings, nachos, or a burger with their beer you can fudge the numbers.

Just open up the fricking bars, they are skirting the mandate as it is and the state is letting them.

It’s a joke.

If they want to close down Bourbon Street, fine close down Bourbon Street, but don’t make all the other bars in the state suffer

Agree
Keep Bourbon bars and the big college bars closed if they want to. Let the rest fcking open up so they can make a living

You have 60 days before they look at numbers. When you apply it’s projected numbers. Also I can ring up a beer as french fries all night.

ETA: if a neighborhood bar is still closed it’s because they don’t want to go through the process

Like I said, you can fudge the numbers.

I went into a bar in Nola the other day and asked for a drink because they were open.

She handed me a menu and a beer. She asked me what did I want to order to eat. I said nothing and we both winked and I went sit down.

A little while later she asked me if I wanted another beer I said yes. Then she said “Your food will be out shortly”. This went on for about 30 minutes.

Until I finally just asked for one to go.

Ok that makes sense.
There is a place near me named Hurricanes. I don’t think they have served food for the last 3 or 4 years, but they are open now. LOL

Jiggers has barely sold food in recent years and they opened back up last week.

Good for all of them that are finding ways to make it work

The Caterie 1982-1990

I spent quite a few nights there in the mid 90's. Used to love hearing Amos Moses play there and the food was good back then.

Every Thursday night in the mid to late 90’s. Especially when Allison Collins was playing.

Longhorn in Toomey when I was underage but the loophole still existed. Utter debauchery.

Sams Boat in Houston 1995-2000. Never seen a larger collection of hotness in my life that on ANY Sunday where a work holiday was the following Monday.

Carousel Bar as an “adult”. Monteloeone NOLA.

Morgan City in the 80’s was Grow Johns and T-johns.... owned by same guy..... used to play “playboy “ pinball machine for hours. JENX was the barkeep there and kept me fully stocked. Grow Johns was a cheers type place with pool tables and a huge game room. Plus had bands regular.... when I would walk in they would put a 16 oz bud on the bar for me......and then in my BR days it’s was this bar and I can’t remember it’s name on Old Hammond by Albertsons... it burned down a few years ago.... I always called it Sammys cause he was the owner. A perfect place to sit back and just chill. I think it was the past time lounge.....
