In the 80's at any point I owned about 10-12 Powell Peralta shirts

4-5 pairs of Jimmy'Z shorts

Vision Street Wear shoes

2-4 collared shirts with no logos

A pair of Levi's

This thread is like a walk through my middle and high school closet. But throw in units/espirit/outback red because I am a girl. I had the dark blue coca cola shirt with the red letters and wore it with a bleu jean mimi skirt and red tretorns. Middle school dance hotness right there.

I kind of want the Miami Vice look to come back, I'm too young to have lived through it but that seems like it could have been pretty chill.

Edited to add: other than the Man Perm.

Abercrombie & Fitch too, when it was still an outdoor supplier and not the teen trash it is now.
You must have travelled to NYC or parts of New England (couldn´t find it in Athens or Atlanta).

Chicks wore the Kappa brand, and TA&M was even outfitted by Kappa.

A little of this, a little of that. I had Girbaud crinkle stone washed jeans along with some Guess. A Generra trenchcoat. Also Vans, Airwalks and Jams with some Vision Street Wear. Concert t-shirts I'd order from a catalogue called Burning Airlines.
Oh yeah, a bunch of Jimmyz baggy pants.

Forgot one other thing, a Bundeswehr tshirt

I have family in CT and I did travel to NYC at least twice a year, but there was an Abercrombie & Fitch in the Riverwalk across from The Sharper Image down by the Spanish Plaza end that was still the old school A&F .

They still make these. My 7 yr old daughter has a pair from her cheer squad last season. Those little triangles can be a real pain in the arse to change.

I beg to differ! Taken just moments ago. I really only got this shirt cause of nostalgia.

And I just happened to be wearing one, and Nikes, straightleg Levi's, an OP T-shirt, porn stache, and a mullet. I think that just about covers it.

Ah, the good ole days!

What year did these go out of style? 92' or 93'?

They did seem to turn into "urban" wear all of a sudden.

Girbaud's were expensive jeans back in 91'

But it's an expensive ticket - Girbaud jeans cost between $58 and $104 locally, depending on the cut and style.

I grew up dirt poor. My parents inherited my grandparents home and we lived in it mortgage free, or they just could not have made it.

I desperately wanted a pair of Reebok Pumps

One day, my mom "ran across a deal" and I shite you not, I had my Reebok Pumps.

My mom paid $100 for these circa 1989. Never told my dad. And I looked like an idiot.
