Adoption is a scam. Find a knocked up teen and pay her under the table.

I agree with only adopting an infant. Trust me, DCFS doesn't tell you all the issues a child has. We regret ever even adopting this child but hope that one day he will grow into a loving, caring, and respectful person......

Yes. Nothing wrong with paying for a child.

It's harder to adopt an american kid, than a ruskie/asian/etc

they make you go through a million hoops, all costing a lot of $$$. It's a f'in joke how hard they make it, to adopt a fellow american child.

Not all adoptions are created equally. I'll speak only from adopting through the State of Florida; it was not a painful process at all....not even close to a painful process.....total out of pocket costs......$10.00 ($5 for me & $5 for the wife) for the cost of fingerprinting....yep that's it. We used a state attorney so no cost there (the attorney is just to do the paperwork anyway even tho we could have gotten our own and billed the state but why).

I've heard really shitty stories about adopting through other states....fricking shame.

I've gone back and forth on this so many times because I really don't want to get married. Still undecided.

One thing is for damn sure: I'd only adopt a newborn. Couldn't have that nightmare scenario with the 9 y/o that that guy outlined earlier

My wife and I have thought about adopting. From the beginning of our relationship she has not wanted kids. I am okay with this, but would still like my own. Fast forward 8 years she wouldn't mind our own kid, but she still wants to adopt.
People minds can change. We want to adopt bc it's not the child's fault they are in this situation. There are thousands of deserving children out there that need a great family. We will be going the 2 year or above kid

my wife and i aren't real sure if having our own kid is a possibility, but we'd adopt a newborn.

neither of us want to spent $10k upfront to do it tho.

I hope your adoption experience goes better than ours did. Just know this. There is no "fixing" a foster child. If there are any issues with them no amount of love or nurturing will help.

Give it a try.

If it not for you and/or your wife, just slap a return to sender label on it and then talk about how hard your decision was --- but you did it in the best interest of the child to "set him or her free."

It's working for some.

People should do it more.

It should be easier than it is.

It should be cheaper than it is.

, the child was still not created from parts of us.

I think that would be out the window once you invest time and memories with the adopted child. You'll love an adopted child every bit as much as a blood child.
