Championship Belts!

I don’t follow wrestling like I used to. I was mainly into it from 1996-2004. I feel once the World Wildlife Fund told Vince to “Get The F Out Of Here,” my interest as a whole slowly died. I was more of a WCW fan, but enjoyed both.

My Four:

WCW World Heavyweight Championship - The Big Gold Belt; the greatest belt of all time.

WCW U.S. Heavyweight Championship (second version) - classic, clean look. While it may have been a secondary title, I believe if won, said wrestler became an automatic contender for the Big Gold Belt. Someone may need to help me on that.

The BGB and U.S. title were also held at the same time. Booker T and Goldberg are who I remember accomplishing that feat.

WWF Championship (Attitude Era) - to me, the most iconic of the company all time, and rivaled the prestige of the BGB.

Seeing both the BGB and WWF titles being held at the same time was fun during Invasion and post-Invasion.

WWF Hardcore Championship - what made it fun was the 24/7 rule. It provided some entertaining matches. It was so big that WCW briefly had a Hardcore title, but it couldn’t muster the profile of what the WWF had. The 24/7 belt current is a joke.

Honorable Mention:

WCW World TV Championship - many big names in the WCW and WWF held this title including Jericho, Booker T, SCSA. Damn you Scott Hall for throwing it in the trash! I wish it was brought over into WWF as another secondary title.

Shocked Revelation:

The WWE predates the original Women’s Championship to 1956, even though the company didn’t officially establish it until 1984. Regardless, it was the oldest championship until its retirement in 2010. Moolah had the longest reign at 28 years. YIkes!

Big gold is the goat. And none of these OT badasses could ever summon up half the swag that Ric Flair had in his prime

Think you nailed it. Tag team titles meant something back then too and weren’t just 2 random singles guys they have nothing for thrown together
