Is the Chief still Chiefing?
Yeah, nothing's really happened. If I'm not mistaken, the investigation was put on hold.

He can fix as many tickets as he wants. What law is he breaking by tossing a ticket?

Look at this shite

The son of Chief Rickey Boudreaux, Landon Boudreaux, presently serves as an Assistant to the Mayor. While the Mayor also employs the sister of councilman Reaux, Dawn Durke. Then to top it off the City of Youngsville employs and Chief Rickey Boudreaux supervises Earl Menard, the father of Reaux, and Clay Durke, the son of Dawn Durke and nephew of Reaux.
Even at the micro level...politics are engorged with complete parasites. It's a terrible system, and it should all be burnt to the ground.

They are having a meeting tonight to pick Ruh Reaux’s replacement.
Last I heard they are still working on finding a law firm to do the investigation. Chief’s lawyer buddy keeps trying to say council and mayor have no ability to launch an investigation. Ok, so does he really think he would survive a recall election?

Reaux had been at Boudreaux's house in the middle of the night when she hit the parked vehicle. That's why she called him.
that is what he told her to say when she called him, beginning of the video she is on he phone
then he said he and his family were out to get food at midnight on a friday and he just drove by to check on her
very suspect

the investigation would be of the accident and YPD response, not the chief’s general behavior in office
he survived housing a drug addict woman at the YPD offices in the Fall, doing “landscaping” for the facility. nothing came of that either
unethical or criminal behavior would be a separate investigation done by the Stste AG or LSP, highly unlikely that happens
Rickey got fired from LPSO for banging a CI, got shipped off to Iberia Parish to let the dust settle and got summoned back to Youngsville to run against Earl Menard. He has friends in high places in Lafayette Parish and is useful to them. Doubt anything happens to him
this video release was a ploy to get him ousted and his behavior hasnt helped matters. However he is probably too volatile to let the dogs loose on him, no telling what he would say if the fire got too hot on him.

I want this smug prick gone, and I don't live in Youngsville.

“Who here can say they haven’t messed up at some point in der life? We are all flawed in the eyes of the Lord”
and “Ricky used to play cards with my paw paw at the grocery store. He’s a good man” Those are your average voters in Youngsville. I seen’t it.

Small town politics. Happens everywhere.
But Louisiana sometimes takes politics to another level.

Up until Waffle House opened, there ain’t shite open late in Youngsville. If you’re hungry late, your arse is staying hungry. Except Taco Bell maybe, kinda forgot we had that.
