Man, some of those people that got up to address the council... 
Some thought they had the most clever things ever said and were talking mighty big knowing nothing could be said back or no one would step to them. That Romero guy in the yellow shirt who started out regaling everyone about his grandfather's grocery store and how a bunch of people played cards with his grandaddy. Dude said "Y'all know me and I don't care" about 50 times like he was the king of Youngsville because he got his 2 mins at the podium during the special meeting.
I've lived in AL the majority of my life and I have a keen eye for trashy people and there were plenty of them in attendance at that meeting.
And the chief may be the trashiest and most arrogant of them all. Holy shite that guy is the epitome of "crash and burn". He's lucky that firefighter baw councilman didn't get down and whip his arse for bringing his wife up out of the blue. He's like a little kid who gets in trouble and starts telling on every other kid in the same room for things they did a few days before.

That was incredible. I've worked for/with local governments for 20 years and I don't think I've ever seen anything like that in real life before. He's a spectacular, arrogant, fricking a-hole. Very entertaining.

My favorite part was how a go to line for the pro chief of police crowd was "everyone has made mistakes" and "no one is perfect", also had those quoting the bible about casting the first stone...in that case we should abolish prisons and no one should ever be punished for anything because we've all done wrong

Wow. The arrogance, disrespect & unprofessionalism shown by the police chief in his public comments is astounding. I can’t believe no one got up to call him out after he spoke.

I don't have a dog in this fight as I live in Lafayette, but it's pretty damn hypocritical for council members to request favorable treatment from the chief and then turn around and say that he should resign because he gave favorable treatment to one of them.
