The perp's name is out there, and the girl's name taping is out also.
Only news I've read is that police know who she is. They are aware of the video. No arrests have been made. No statements have been made either.
My guess is still that they are very weary since this is a race issue, and waiting to hear from higher-ups (probably all of the way to the WH) on what to do. If they make an arrest without the consent of Eric Holder, they'll for sure be an investigation into the department and a lot of white people being fired/having to move out of town, so they are treading lightly. If you think I'm reaching with that assumption, just look at Ferguson

They don’t understand that white people aren’t out to get black people; they are just exhausted with them. They are exhausted by the social pathologies, the violence, the endless complaints, the blind racial solidarity, the bottomless pit of grievances, the excuses, and the reflexive animosity.

IIRC, she said she was walking her dog through the park and came upon the whole incident (don't quote me on that)

True. If not worse. One of these days, they will get a race war. Hell, the powers that be may figure that's the best way to purge this deadbeat portion of our country. Look I'm not defending anything in this video, but when 1/9 of black males in Louisiana are incarcerated, it's obvious the war started long ago.

I guess pretty soon people are just gonna be fed up enough to allow themselves to be called racists. I mean, you can't excuse every action by blaming it on white racism. There is a point where people are just gonna have to look past the word to actually get things done.
Like I said earlier though, the problem stems from these so called "community leaders" making excuses for all of these actions and dissolving all personal responsibility in the black community. I can go on and on with situations that they make excuses for, but TD doesn't have enough room for all of that. It really is a shame that young blacks don't have any actual good leaders to get them out of this funk they've been in for so long. It's a bigger shame that there is no end in sight
These young kids absolutely 100% have no chance of succeeding in life with the current structure we have set up for them. The reality of it is that it is mainly older blacks keeping the younger blacks down. I feel bad for the (0-13yrs old) kids because they don't really have a chance. It is kind of taken away from them as soon as they're born by their own race
Eta: I am extremely curious to see how this new crop of students turns out since all of the charter schools started in New Orleans

The percentage of incarcerated black males is higher in Louisiana than anywhere in the world. I'm sure there are plenty of white kids out there drinking & driving, cooking meth, smoking weed......
But for some reason they aren't targeted as much.
I'm just saying that the war on drugs started long ago. This enmity is generations deep.
