My couriers often complain about this during coffee chatter before our weekly conferences.

These are clearly the same people that have no idea what "please rack your weights when finished" means. Just entitled, lazy as frick little shits. If you dont return your cart to the designated area as a basic courtesy to your fellow shoppers, you should be castrated.

I never do it unless I’m right next to the cart return area. Otherwise I leave it in the space between my car and the next one or behind the adjacent car.

What brand of cigarettes do you smoke?

I rarely shop enough to require a cart, so I usually head out to my car with a few items in hand. If I see an able bodied person leave their cart in some random place, I'll go grab the cart and take it back and stare daggers at them.

I know I don't gain anything out of it, but I like to think I've guilted at least one person into not being such a lazyass
