The US has the largest share of money of any country has ever seen in organized ecnomics today. US has 55 of worlds top 100 universities. We've won what? like 8 straight olympics? The only downfall are boomers self-projecting their old age and winding down in life onto the country. The US is still as dominant as ever. The world share of GDP is the one stat you will always be able to look at to determine this. Money rules all. US richest it's ever been.

Wouldn't ever expect in a million years someone with a grizzly wintergreen long cut can as a profile pic to ever incept this thought. Just go with the soccer is for pussies, more US likes soccer. The most basic of human thought.

My five year old son said he likes watching USMNT games on TV more than the Saints because: "soccer is a little boring to watch but Saints have commercials the whole time"

Of all the things that show how far this nation has fallen, kids playing soccer would be at the bottom of the list.

Look at how many kids are playing soccer these days as opposed to previous generations. Specifically boys. I believe there’s a strong correlation with the more soccer our boys play, the more effeminate they become.

Soccer is CHEAP compared to almost any team sport. That is why it so universally popular. It is also possible for kids to play on co-ed teams until 12 or so. The combination of cheap and co-ed is taylor made for community youth sports organizations.

I sold shaved ice at a county sports park years ago and soccer teams practiced once a week and played once a week. The youth football teams were there EVERYDAY of the week practicing. When they soccer kids were practicing they were laughing and squealing as kids will do when they are having fun. On the football side of the park it was a different story...adults screaming at kids. kids crying, kids in pain and kids falling out from running etc. There is little wonder soccer is taking over. It takes a special kind of kid to play football. They are getting rarer and rarer.
