have yet to find someone that I feel is able to do a good job in trimming my beard. Last place I went to was The Rooster Club in NOLA. The guy did a good job, but I felt like he trimmed too much
Golden Sheers on Magazine at State does a good job. I don’t have a beard but my bearded cronies all go.

1) DIY
2) Balm usually lasts two days, oil one day
3) Either one or the other, not both
4) I don't wash my beard
5) Maybe 15 seconds
6) Honest Amish
Eta: My water dries out my skin and face, so I have to use oil or balm on it

1. Have you found a barber that is able to shape and trim your beard the way you want or do you do it yourself?
Most of the time my barber takes care of it.
2. Do you apply beard wax or balm to your beard? How often?
When it gets longer than an inch I’ll use balm to help shape it.
3. Do you apply beard oil over the wax or balm? Or just use the oil without the wax?
I don’t use beard oil because of the next question...
4. Do you wash your beard with beard shampoo or use regular hair shampoo?
Beard shampoo (Woody’s). The shampoo really softens my beard.
5. After applying wax, balm or oil how long do you spend brushing your beard?
Maybe a minute?
6. If you use any of these products, what brand do you prefer?
Woody’s for the shampoo
Can’t remember the brand of balm

you are overcomplicating beards

I get mine trimmed every time I get a haircut, not always satisfied with it but it grows back out. I give it a touch-up on Sunday nights, and if I have a meeting during the week I'll re-clean my lines that morning.
No products (barber tried an oil once and I had a bad break out, nothing since)
I used Head & Shoulders to wash my beard every day; still no dandruff

FML, I've got to trim my mustache from growing over my top lip every other day. I wish I only had to do it once a week. If only the hair on my head would grow that fast, I'd be in bidness

I like how you throw out the "only men can grow beards" quip right after you spent 500 characters detailing your Patrick Bateman-esque beard routine
I have a beard. Trim it myself. Sometimes use conditioner.

First, before putting that much thought into your beard, I'd suggest you find your balls....obviously, they've walked off in protest of you girlie-man lifestyle.

If you're getting it trimmed at the barber, find the barber that has a beard.
I do mine myself normally. Maybe 2x a yr I'll go to the barber.
I'm lucky though, my beard is basically straight hair. Usually around 4"-5" in length, beautifully blonde and flowing. Bitches wish they had it on their head.
I shampoo, condition and comb it.
No oils or balm, shits greasy feeling and I don't need it.

You make me ashamed to have a beard right now. The point of a beard is less work, not to treat it like a poodle growing on your face.

I use spartan beard shampoo from amazon. It helps with the dry skin, and doesn't have a strong smell.
I used to use the Gibbs beard oils, but have gotten away from it.
I don't let the barber trim it up. I do it myself, but keep a clean trimmed beard.
The biggest thing is you need to wash it in the morning and evening or it will stink. So just keep it trimmed, and clean it will be healthy.

1. Yes, Phillip at the Barbershop in Gonzales does a great job.
2. Sometimes beard butter. Sometimes beard cream. Creamo brand. Usually nothing.
3. I have oil but really never use it.
4. Regular shampoo
5. I use a wooden beard comb. I comb it out. Trim the strays. Then if I apply product I comb it again immediately after.
