Why put 10 grand into something that will immediately depreciate?

Well, an ego doesn't immediately depreciate. It does eventually, though.

Don't see the point of owning a truck if I don't need to haul shite. I haven't hauled a damned thing in the entirety of my adult life. I'm currently renting a new Suburban while my car is being repaired (again) and have honestly concluded that people who drive large vehicles either (1) are in a business that requires them, (2) have large (like Mormon) families, or (3) feel really, really inadequate.

ETA: Obviously some are fisherman and serious sportsmen who use the vehicles for recreational purposes, but most probably aren't (how many people spend their dough getting $55,000 trucks detailed twice a month).

The Suburban is really nice inside, but it feels obscene, and I'm not a small guy.

Maybe some people need to haul stuff for hobbies? Hard to pull a boat up a ramp with an accord

Again, I am not on my way to go truck shopping, it's a theoretical question.

That said, I've got a cordovan leather sofa in my office with light gray walls. Would a mocha rug with a beige border be too much contrast or would it be "just right"?
